This telescoping sponge is long enough to get the water out of your tallest pottery pieces. The sponge, however, is not the most absorbent and the oblong shape is not ideal for picking up water pooled on the floor of your pieces. I like the telescoping feature, but I feel like the sponge design makes it impractical for use. I think a sponge that had more of a flat base/more surface area along the bottom would be more efficient.
