The socket converter worked. I was able to run my light bulb after I converted with this adapter. It saved me money since the bulbs were more expensive if I did not have this converter.

This is the brightest idea since the invention of the lightbulb. I put one in the ceiling of a new closet and put a two foot chain pull on it to turn the bulb off and on. The cord is long enough to reach a baseboard outlet. Two screws hold it in the ceiling. Use an led bulb in the closet. I’m sure this could be useful in the basement and garage as well. It can even attach to a wall.

This socket is fine for a low wattage LED bulb. However, a 75W incandescent bulb will melt the plastic around the socket...fire hazzard.

A very practical light socket for closets. I paired it with a GE Bright Stik LED bulb. I'm considering installing this in all my closets; they are the brightest I've ever had, making it easier to find clothing in the morning rush. I did not see a UL certification, so I don't recommend using incandescent bulbs and leaving this on 24/7. Otherwise, for secondary lighting, this is a great value that doesn't require hardwiring a socket, as it comes with the necessary anchor bolt and screw hardware for mounting the base to the ceiling. I plan to run this along my baseboard with cord hiders to minimize the wires and make it a cleaner look.

Good but longer than expectedI had ordered short neck PAR30 LED floodlights to recess into ceiling fixtures so the bulb itself would be hidden. Unfortunately the housing prevented them from screwing into the sockets. I had a socket extender from a major supplier of electrical products that converted the short neck to a standard length so it would screw in, and I looked on Amazon for more. I ran across these in my search, and ordered them. It turned out that they are a bit longer than the major brand, but they do the job. They are plastic, and should be fine with LED bulbs, but I wouldn't use them with an incandescent bulb.
