I DON'T like the Flylin Store's Bike Crank Arms! Yes, they're aluminum, (checked w/ a magnet), so they're lighter than the steel ones on my Genesis Villotti Mountain Bike. I suppose they won't rust, so they shouldn't get stuck on like the originals did. BUT, they won't work (the drive side won't) on MY cheap bike, for up to 2 reasons: A) Both drive and non-drive side crank arms are the same on this Amazon product pair. So? Well, the drive-side crank arm is obviously integrated with the connecting arms (that attach to the chain ring), something I should've checked, but didn't as I don't know a lot about bikes, and B) Because that chain ring also appears to have a soldered, stamped or press fit to the crank arm. I could and would cut or grind off the attachment point to remove the chain ring if that (B) was the sole issue, but due to issue (A) I may still have to also buy a different crank arm design. So, in conclusion, you can't assume ads would bring to your attention issues, likely or not, that may keep you from being able to use their product. Re-reading the ad for about the 4th time, I now see it says, ""1 Pair Bike Crank Arm, Left" - Does this imply it is a PAIR of LEFT SIDE (only) crank arms - no RIGHT side Crank Arm? May sound like a silly question, but only my LEFT SIDE Crank Arm is made the way these TWO Crank Arms are. Regardless of the answer, I have spent too much valuable time on this issue, and I cannot cut off the connection between my drive-side Crank Arm and its Chain Ring, in order to attempt to install a lighter Crank Arm that doesn't attach the same way, and thus may not work!
