I just used the axis hub wrench wtih the flat spot and it worked well on an aerator that I would normally remove with pliers and scratch it a bit.The plastic prevents scratching, but I would not expect this tool to last through much abuse since it is plastic.

Very flimsy. The whole point of this thing is to remove an aerator that is corroded. The teeth wore down after one use to the point I will need another one to install the replacement aerator.I do not recommend this product.
