The metal is very thin and easily warped. The ring surrounding it is just plastic and provides NO structural support. Its just there so you dont slice yourself on the cut-edges of the grill. The clips to fasten it are okay. I could only use 3 because of the location of the speaker relative yo the feet of my subwoofer, but they seem to hold sufficiently well anyway.All in all, it's fine to prevent casual contact but not in any way rugged enough for car trunks, band or DJ rigs, etc.

Got the 10 Inch 10" Universal Metal Car Audio Speaker Subwoofer Waffle Grill Protector Cover with Clips and Screws. Used on my studio monitors! The monitors have surface mount speakers and the grill fits on the surface of the speaker “not around it”. The clips were made of plastic but worked ok. There is not any vibration of the grill the grill is made of metal and it works fine with the monitors.

How do these things have 4 stars? There is literally zero clearance for the speaker to move outward. Even the worst subwoofer would hit the top. A good grill should protect the speaker while not restricting its operation. This grill fails to achieve this. Choose a different one.

This Grill actually didn't fit the box for the 10-inch subwoofer in my boat the box is actually a larger fiberglass box so that's probably why but it did say Universal I was able to get it in putting screws in at Angles it does its job and it was cheap

First off they fit perfect , the only thing I didn't like about the speaker is that the 4 plastic pieces that came with it did not hold the cover in place. I had to add some foam but after that extra Soave they look great! Would highly recommend
