Got two of these for my new backyard fence gates. These are easy to install and seem to work great. The magnet is strong so, along with self-closing hinges, you can be sure the gates close securely. The red indicator makes it obvious if the gate is not secured which is super helpful. And best of all, these are cheaper than all of the competitors. Hopefully, these last in the Florida weather but they feel very well built and solid.

Screws are low quality. Had to pre drill holes. They are self tapping screws and would not cut into metal.

I really like it but the housing where the shaft goes in cracked after 5 months use. These things should last 5 years easy. It still works but I’m hoping the crack doesn’t spread.

Love the unit. Only drawback was self-tapping screws won’t work without pre drilling. Once I realized to pre drill whole install was less than 5 minutes. Love the unit overall.
