One thing I know about UPSs is that they tend to fail when you need them. Mostly that's because sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries have a limited life and you don't find out that they have given up the ghost until the power goes out. If I get three years out of a SLA battery I am lucky. Lithium batteries should last 10 years or more so between replacing SLA batteries (or alternatively gambling on your UPS actually working when you need it) it's more cost effective to buy a lithium UPS in the first place. This unit is getting into the price range near where a SLA UPS would be, so there's even less reason not to go with lithium. This unit has some great numbers for the price (1000VA, 600W) and should keep my server and NAS up during brief power outages or until I can get the generator going. One of my pet peeves about UPS is that I can never remember how to silence the alarm (if it even can be silenced). One brief press on the power button is all this one needs. The digital voltage displays for line power and output are a big plus. The display also shows the battery state of charge and the wattage used (both input and output.) It also has a USB connector for auto shutdown of your system if the battery gets low (or so they say: I was unable to find any information about how to use this, and their web site says it's for manufacturing testing and software updates only.) I wasn't able to find any information about what software it needs or works with.It claims to output a pure sine wave, which is good. All 8 outlets are battery protected (so don't plug in your laser printer) although they are fairly closely spaced so you may not be able to use all of them if you have large power adapters to plug in.So far I am please with this unit. As for reliability, check back with me in 10 years..

Contents: UPS; power cord; USB cable; and manual. The LCD screen is bright and easy to read. It displays input VAC and output VAC along with Watts drawn on each end. Icons show if the input main has power or is on battery. Finally, it shows the battery charge with five bars. It's easy to see what's going on. A green and red light, along with an audible beep, provides state indicators. Nine state scenarios are outlined in a table in the manual. The LCD also shows fault codes that are referenced in the manual. When there is power and it's working the screen goes to sleep and only the green light is on. Thankfully, that green light won't light up a dark room but is bright enough to see at a glance. A single button turns the unit on, turns it off, turns on the LCD temporarily, and silences the alarm.Rubber pads are on the bottom, so it's meant to be a tower. The case is a nice flat white (or black) and it looks nice. Cooling slots are on the front. I cannot hear the fan. There are eight NEMA 5-15P outlets on the back, two columns of four. They are all battery backup enabled. They are close together so an outlet will be lost if an AC brick plug is necessary. That's ok because eight outlets are plenty for one PC, a modem, and a router.Battery run time is good. They specify 25 minutes at 300 Watts draw @ 77 F degrees. That's good enough to hear the alarm, close your work, and gracefully shut down. I have not overloaded it on purpose. I drew around 80-100 Watts on the battery for 85 minutes. The top was barely warm to the touch. Without software, I am not sure what the USB cable connected to my Windows 11 desktop did. It did not detect the type of UPS or the battery level, so it did not automatically shut down the desktop. Battery-related settings in the power plan had no effect. HID UPS was my driver. That's ok because when I am on the computer I can save my work and shutdown. If I am not on the computer I won't have anything to lose. I did not test surge protection or a pure sinewave output because I didn't have the equipment. What I can attest to is switching from main power to battery had no effect on my devices and battery run time was great. What makes this worth it is not having to buy lead-acid batteries every other year because these are LiFePO4. I regularly find out I need a new battery when it matters the most, during an outage. That said, there is no obvious way to open it as it should be maintenance-free.Considering the price is equal to the big-name 1000VA lead acid UPS units I highly recommend this Goldenmate LiFePO4 UPS. In the long run, I would have spent enough on replacement batteries to buy another one of these.

This has amazing surge protection I was completely blown away right off the bat. I got this for my PC setup in my office room and to get this all set up perfectly and plenty protected. I do quite a bit of gaming and I have quite a bit of stuff that could get ruined by certain surges or things so I thought this would be a great way to protect that as well as have a bunch of extra Outlets that I can plug into. This came very well packed and secured with plenty of padding. There was no damage from delivery and everything was perfectly as described in the ad. This functions nicely as intended and the battery life works excellent! The instructions are clear and easy to read and if you don't know what you're doing it's very helpful for setup. The display quality is very nice. This is super well made very heavy duty very durable and just an all-around amazing value for your money! We've already had a few storms here and everything in my PC has stayed perfectly intact despite all the lightning and possible surges. This is an excellent build and stays firmly planted at the base. All the buttons are very well labeled and if you know what you are doing it's very easy to get everything plugged in and set up. Assembly is an absolute Breeze and this is 100% everything I thought it would be and then some. It matches it perfectly with the measurements in the ad as well so it fits exactly in the space I had for it. I really cannot be happier. This whole process has been super user friendly and everything works nicely as it should. Definitely a solid 10 out of 10 and a great value for your money
