This battery backup is nice quality and looks great. It is sleek in design and has 8 ports in the back for plugging in devices. It runs super quietly because I did not even notice that it was running. I unplugged it from the wall and it kept on running just fine. It is easy to setup but I did not test out the shut down settings. I am very happy with the quality and slim design and the realiability.

First off - this UPS does what it is supposed to do; it provides pure sine wave power to connected devices them the utility power goes out. It has reasonable capacity to power several items for a reasonable period of time until you can shut them down gracefully. There are several aspects of this UPS that are very well executed.1) Because it uses LiFePO4 battery technology, it is a little bit lighter than similar capacity UPSes that use traditional sealed lead/acid batteries, but it is still a bit heavy due to the nature of all power inverters. Not much to be done about that.2) The LED screen provides very clear information about state of charge, input and output power levels.3) The case is well-made and finished, and the black-and-white color scheme may be aesthetically appealing to some people. Personally, I like to keep my UPSes more-or-less out of sight, so this isn't really important to me.This UPS misses the mark on a couple of points that may or may not be of importance to you.1) The battery is not easily user-replaceable. This is a deal-breaker for me, as my existing UPSes all use sealed lead/acid batteries that I have replaced numerous times over the years. It makes little financial sense to me to buy a battery backup that cannot be serviced when there are others on the market that can be.2) There are no surge-suppressed but not battery backed-up outlets available. If you plug a device in that has a high draw on start-up like many laser printers, there is a likelihood that you will cause the UPS to trip.3) The buzzer is not very loud, so you have to place this backup in an area where you can hear the alarm. This may not be very convenient.4) It seems to recharge kind of slowly. If you tend to have frequent power outages, this may be a issue.Despite this UPS working reasonably well, the lack of user-serviceability and the cost of the unit mean I will be selecting a different product moving forward.

This UPS works decently well but it has a few downsides that don't make it such a perfect deal. Its size is a bit weird and unwieldy. Most UPSs are designed to go in a rack or in a closet but according to its manual and the fact that the alarm buzzer is really very faint, the manufacturer seems to want you to position this one on your desk (or in the general vicinity). However, it's way too large for the average desk. I don't understand why they could not fit a louder buzzer to generate an alarm that can be actually heard at a reasonable distance (especially in an home office like setting which may be a bit noisy). It's not designed to be quiet and subdued either -- there is no way to turn off the power LED even during normal operations (which is a standard feature on other brands) and there is no way to turn off the alarm persistently, whenever power is lost a button press is required or it will continue beeping until the battery runs out. The display is also quite bright and there's no way to turn it down. From a functional perspective, it works as advertised. I've tried to run a reasonable PC desktop setup on battery, including a 43'' TV screen, a AMD 5600X based micro-atx board with a few disks and a GPU playing videos, and an access point, for a total load of about 90-100W. The UPS is obviously able to support this much load, being advertised for about 800W sustained. It ran for about 1 hour draining the battery to an indicated ~50%, which is roughly in line with what the manual has to say at room temperature. This is by no means a powerful setup but it's fairly realistic and I'm sure during a real outage it would have provided me enough time to save my work and turn everything off. However, for a value perspective, you can find UPSs with somewhat better inverters and roughly equivalent (if heavier?) batteries for slightly less.Battery charging seems quite slow. It seems like the battery only charges at about 15-20W, which takes a long time. Repeated outages are probably going to be an issue with this one if they end happen close to one another. Finally, there are some aspects that are a bit impractical. Many UPSs have power outlets that are filtered but not battery backed to attach devices like laser printers that typically overload most low-powered inverters when turning on. This one does not -- yet the manual says it's ok to connect printers, and a laser one will make it trip due to an overload if it's too powerful and turns on suddenly (like the ones I have do). There is also no protection for Ethernet cables or coax, there are no powered USB plugs (only one for data). The battery is not user serviceable either.Long story short, this works as a personal desktop UPS in case you can't find anything else, but it's not particularly powerful, or long-lasting, or practical, or well thought out. I don't mind using it, it seems well built and well behaved, but I'll probably pick a different make/model in the same price range next time.

Per this unit, UPS batteries should all be using LiFePO4 chemistry. This UPS is fairly lightweight and portable. The case is nicely made, and setup was very simple. This UPS is 1000VA/800 Watts, so not the biggest out there, but it provides backup power to my NAS and is serving flawlessly so far, and will safely shut down the system if the outage duration exceeds 15 minutes. I will likely get a second one to provide power to my wifi router and fiber ONT box. That should keep those devices online even if the outage is for a couple of hours.
