This 100-piece pack of outlet spacers is a practical solution for fixing recessed or loose electrical outlets. The stackable design allows you to easily adjust the depth to align outlets with wall plates. Each section snaps together cleanly, and the flexible material helps it fit tightly around screws without slipping or shifting.Installation is simpleโ€”just snap the spacers over the outlet screws and adjust as needed. No extra tools or modifications are required, which is a big plus for quick home repairs. These are also compact and tear easily if needed, making it easy to customize the fit. The plastic feels flexible but durable enough to hold securely once in place.Having 100 spacers in a pack is more than enough for most home projects or even small contractor jobs. Theyโ€™re useful to have on hand when replacing wall plates, working with tile backsplashes, or adjusting outlet boxes that arenโ€™t flush with the wall.Overall these spacers are a straightforward and useful fix for misaligned or sunken outlets. The stackable, tear-apart design makes them versatile, and the large quantity offers great value.

When we renovated our downstairs bedroom last year, I put the box for the switch too far back. Oops. It wasn't way off, but too far off to use our screwless wall plate properly. I looked at a few extender options and settled on these because they're so small and simple. Being able to trim them and snap them together gave me exactly the flexibility I wanted. Three halves on each end gave me the perfect amount of extra length. The switch is right where it needs to be, and the wall plate fits securely over the top. Bam....and now I have 94 other pieces. And that's my only real complaint: the price is totally reasonable, but 100 pieces is far more than most people will ever need. (And probably more than even most electricians will need, unless they have consistently bad depth perception.) I'll probably keep the rest of these in the garage just in case, and maybe I'll need a few more the next time a reno project comes along, but odds aren't good. It feels a little wasteful to have so many I'll never use.But a relatively small price to pay for a quick and cheap solution that works really well.

These are perfect for correcting the outlets in my garage. The contractor mounted the outlet boxes flush with the edges of the studs in the unfinished garage, rather than flush to the future sheetrocked surface. Then the original owner decided to sheetrock the garage, which left the outlet boxes sunken about a half inch too deep. Rather than leaving the outlets attached to the outlet boxes, he attempted to pull them even with the sheetrock surface by screwing them to the outlet covers, which left a half inch gap between the outlet and the outlet box. Inserting a plug into the outlet supported only by an outlet cover seldom results in a snug fit, since you are scared to shove in the plug too hard. These outlet spacers are designed to solve the problem. Each spacer is about 0.26โ€ high, but two stack together to about 0.35โ€, three to about 0.525โ€, four to 0.7โ€, five to 0.875, and 6 to 1.05โ€. Since my outlets are about a half inch off, I can stack three together on each side of the outlet to shim it out evenly. The spacers come in strips of 8, and twist apart to separate them. They are designed to grip screws firmly, which is very useful when working on a ladder with ceiling outlets. I have way too much experience climbing down a ladder to search for a dropped screw that ricocheted across a room. The spacers come in a resealable bag.I have wanted some sort of spacer for quite some time, and when I saw these at 8ยข a spacer I decided to snag them fast. These are a must have for any do-it-yourselfer who has to deal with old work electrical. They make your life a lot easier and are worth every penny.

These spacers are really easy to use, and make a big difference. The pack I received had 25 separate strips stuffed into a sealed zip bag. Each strip has 4 of the spacer sets shown in the description. They were not neatly stacked like in the photos, but that doesn't affect their actual use. These look, feel, smell, bend, and compress like soft vinyl -- not silicone. Not a big deal, but the description is wrong.Electrical boxes are supposed to be installed so that the front edge ends up aligned with the finished wall surface. Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, this doesn't always happen. Metal boxes have thin walls; so if the hole in the wall is cut tightly to the box (as it's supposed to be), the wall itself will support the device (receptacle, switch, dimmer, etc.). Plastic boxes have thicker walls; so even if the hole around one is cut properly, the cover plate ends up being the only thing preventing the device from sinking into the wall until it hits the face of the box, This is why many devices (usually receptacles) move when pressure is applied to them -- and why their plates eventually break. These spacers are designed to fit between the face of the box and the metal support bar on the device, to support the device and prevent it from sinking back. In the past, I had always just stacked up a bunch of small washers to fill the space and support the device; but that requires removing the screws, adding the washers, and putting the screws back in -- while preventing the washers from sliding off. These vinyl spacers are do the same job as the washers, but are much easier to use. Each strip has four of the units mentioned in the description. Each of those units consists of two Lego-like, rectangular pieces, with a hole punched in the middle. When you fold the unit in half, the two halves lock together, and form a thicker rectangle, with a slot cut in the middle. The slot is open at one edge, allowing the rectangle to clip onto the device screw -- without having to remove the screw. The strips are made to be torn apart, separating the individual units; and those units can easily be torn in half to use an individual piece. Depending upon how much space there is between the face of the box and the outer surface of the wall, you can fold the small rectangles -- alternating folding direction and locking the pieces together -- until you have a stack that's the right size. If you can't get the stack exactly the right thickness, you can make it slightly too thick: they're soft enough to squish down a little bit when you tighten the screws.I have absolutely no complaints about these spacers. The only issue for me, is that the product description incorrectly says these are silicone, and shows the spacers neatly stacked.
