This light perfectly fit the style of my man cave. While the wood is real, it is obviously not original old Barnwood. However, it is very attractive. It was a little bit challenging to install it by myself, but it can be done. I bought LED bulbs that are dimmiable, so, I will be installing a dimmer later as I read previous installers have done that with their light.Great price, and beautiful light. Highly recommend.

Finish on the wood and metal out of box looks fake and cheap, but with some spray paint, stain and a little work it can look fantastic. I sprayed the fake patina metal chain, ball and tie band flat black and wiped a black stain over the wood surface to darken it up and mask the supplied finish. Looks great now, but be prepared for a little work if you want to turn it into something more.

To start, I know how to wire lights up. Have done it hundreds of times. This thing about caught my house on fire. As soon as I cut the power breaker back on and flipped it on, it started smoking. Straight into the trash. This thing would have looked amazing, so what a shame.
