Used this for a muzzle brake/compensator i made at work on my lunches. Had about 10 lunches into the device, finished it, brought it home and coated it. Altogether used the tap 2 times successfully. 3rd time i was literally only using it to clean the threads i already tapped using the exact same tap, after coating. Made it halfway through the hole and it seized up, stripped the threads out of the device trying to bring it back out after seizing. Used cutting oil and mat’l was Ti. If you’re tapping AL then you’re probably good for awhile.

Used the tap to thread 4 gun muzzle brakes I make for my pistols. Worked great.
