These did a great job of holding my carport in place at Burning Man. But if you take these out to playa please don't forget to clean them with a vinegar mix when you get back home to get the alkaline dust off. This was after just 4 days of sitting in the bag, already starting to rust.

I couldn't find long enough lag bolts at hardware stores, so this set worked really well. They were rock solid when drilled into the playa and held down our yurt really well in all sorts of wind storms. Probably would be worth the price if you can share with friends you're camping with.

Look promising, will try them next week at event. Wish this kit came in 1/2"x16, but fingers crossed with only 3/8" & 12". To each, I added a 2nd 3/8"x7/8" washer (sandwich the chain) and then a piece of shrink wrap tubing to keep chains from sliding off - so far really great (stay together now).

They go deep down into the playa quickly and hold well in wind storms. Excellent product.

The Lexar Industrial Lag Screws are a robust and reliable product that offers peace of mind during windy camping conditions. These lag screws are incredibly sturdy, and I've never encountered any issues with them while setting up camp. They do an excellent job of keeping your tent and canopies secure even in breezy conditions. However, I did experience some quality control issues. One of the sets was missing a bolt, and the other had a few bolts that weren't straight. Given the cost, it would be reasonable to expect better quality control.I paired these screws with a magnetic bit and a carrying case, making them a convenient and essential part of my camping gear. It would be even better if all these pieces came together in one package. These screws have become a well-kept secret among desert campers, and with a little improvement in QC, they could be even more popular.

Bought this set to secure my canvas tent to the playa at Burning Man. So done with the rebar! This was a rough year for dust storms out there and the bolts held up great. I anchored them into the ground with an impact driver and they did not bend or come out. Very convenient to have the pre-cut chain and washers! Use the chain to attach additional shade or whatever else you may need.

I bought this kit to secure my 20 x 20 delta octagon tent shade structure and placed my Kodiak 10x14 tent under it, as well. Whoever designed this kit has probably been to Burning Man and knows what is needed. The entire kit is exactly what you need to secure your shade structure in heavy wind conditions. Most people will tell you that you need a minimum of 12' lags to secure your structure but these worked just fine. The trick is to criss-cross your ratchet straps instead of up /down. The weather this year for burning man 2019 was pretty bad with high winds and still, this kit kept my structure super safe.

I was skeptical & old fashioned, but these with a ryobi driver and the proper bit are the way to go. I think they're as good as 2 or 3 foot rebar for basic tent and shades. And so much easier than all that pounding. We brought rebar and sledgehammer with us as backup... but these were awesome. (You might be able to get them a nickel cheaper direct from a fastener supply, but enh. These were good to go.)
