It trips an 80 amp breaker though it is only supposed to draw about 40 amps. Unfortunately it took too long for my local shop to verify the compressor was indeed bad so the seller won't do anything to help. This is my second one of these compressors that has had this problem. Pacbrake quality and support is sadly disappointing.Following up several months later and Pacbrake is proving to be an increasingly disappointing business. I have sent an RMA# multiple times using their online forms. After multiple attempts I finally heard from Doug Scott from Pacbrake. I resent the first RMA# and explained that the shop that diagnosed this newest purchase did not receive an RMA# from Pacbrake's tech support so I again resent this purchase's information hoping to receive an RMA to warranty this purchase. Doug Scott has not replied to my messages since mid October, it is now December.Within the first year of having a Pacbrake 5" remote brake installed the costs of installation and replacing failing parts totaled over $7,000. The effectiveness of the brake is minimal and only at well over 2,000 RPMs, which is higher than most stock 12 valve Cummins will even rev. It is more effective as a warm-up valve than an exhaust brake. It will definitely restrict acceleration but it is hard to tell if it is working when descending with or without a load. Literally flipping it on and off can be heard far more than it can be felt or analyzed by the vehicle's velocity. I have now invested over $8,000 on a system that has not even run in several years and is barely effective.I have just messaged Pacbrake again in hopes of receiving actual assistance but have low expectations. I will likely look into competitor's air compressors to restore functionality of the system and so I can again have onboard air. If Pacbrake resolves the situation I will update. Currently my advise is:DO NOT USE PACBRAKE PRODUCTS!!!!!!!!!!
