The internal spring is WAY heavier than oem . This is ok IF and only IF it's in the correct D or double D mounting hole . If not I PROMISE YOU the switch will spin in the hole .Save the original OEM plastic nut as the 1 supplied is way weaker , it won't pull the threads but it will deform and just ride over the threads .For the price point, it'll get the job done . Would not recommend for new rigs or resale as you'll likely have fussy customers. If you leave it in the panel it comes with, you'll prob be OK but still freaking 7 lbs of twist to overcome the run to start return spring

Everything is right except the plastic cover that screws to the console was a little bit bigger than the original. Not a big deal just swapped the cover

The safety kill switch barely moves. Additionally, it makes contact when the switch is released instead of when the clip is inserted into the switch. This caused additionally wiring and relays for my installation. The quality of this whole panel seems to be on the low side.

There was nothing wrong with my old panel, or so I thought. After I installed this panel I realized just how worm out my old ignition switch had become. I think someone could have started my boat with a paper clip. This new switch is solid, and provides positive feedback during operation. Glad I made the change.
