  • Begin by loosening the sprocket nut, then unscrew the lower bolt on the chain press tool and mount the spring onto the pin inside the tool.
  • After that, replace the tightening bolt and remove the top bolt.
  • Finally, screw on the handle and lever, place the tool over your chain, and tighten the tool on the chain pin (this forces the chain and pin out the other side).

Do not buy! Went to use for first time and the main part of the tool is way out of tolerance to even use. It will not true up to push a pin or rivet a new one.

I needed an economic chain breaker for chainsaw chains. This will get the job done on stubborn links so long as you can find the right pin size for your chain in the kit. I also have a few dirt bikes so this will come in handy for maintenance on them as well. It's not the easiest to use but its way easier than trying to hammer out pins in a vice.
