Does exactly what you want it to do when you want it done. Great for those of us who only get the tools out after some local pro quotes you some ungodly amount to do the same. Plenty of torque and, yes, even REVERSE.Rock on!

The holes aren't big enough to support a deck foundation but it's the perfect tool for fencing.

I was kicking around going with an electric or a gas powered I decided to go with an electric one because I’m not using this daily. So I didn’t want to mess with a gas mixtures or having an issue with diaphragm on the carburetor. I had issues previously with letting gas equipment just sit. OK now for this electric auger it has plenty of power so much power that I recommend tapping the trigger as it digs. If you get a root or a rock, this thing will rip your arms off and make sure you stand pretty far back so your legs are clear or you will get bumped in the knees. I purchased the dual handle auger because I wanted reverse on it and I can confirm it does have reverse which came in handy. Now for the one issue I wish it would have variable speed for people that don’t know what variable speed is it’s when you pull the trigger and the speed on the auger will change the more you pull the trigger. The way this is set up is as soon as you pull the trigger the auger goes to full speed. That’s why I say just tap and pulsate the trigger. So you’re not running at full speed and next thing you know you hit a rock and auger head will slip out of your hands and start spinning. As for Ford and reverse, you can see from my Pictures there is a toggle switch that has one Or two. The number one is forward the center is off and the number two is reverse. Hope this helps for anyone looking for an auger with reverse. Just make sure you purchase the correct one. It is a two handle more expensive one with four auger bits and a bag.
