The toppros PowerGrip is a toothed timing belt, also known as a synchronous belt or camshaft belt, with a trapezoidal tooth profile for use in positioning applications. It is made of neoprene for resistance to dirt, grease, oil, and moisture. It has fiberglass tensile cords for strength, durability, and resistance to elongation, and it has a nylon tooth facing for quieter operation and resistance to wear. toppros tooth profile is designed for use with a specific sprocket groove profile. This belt is recommended for use with matching Extra Light (xl) PowerGrip timing pulleys for increased load capacity and improved registration. TIming belts have teeth on the underside of the belt that join with the grooves in a rotating pulley to transmit power at a constant speed without slippage. I needed a belt for my bench-mounted belt sander. I was a bit unsure of the size but this one clearly stated the size and other details so I could match it to the old one.

I ordered two 2-packs of 150 XL belts.Pluses: the XL belts were available for low price and fast shipping. They seem reasonably durable and are made of a stiff rubber.Minuses: I carefully measured the thicknesses of the four belts and they were quite variable and off of spec. The tooth depths were respectively 1.21, 1.27, 1.10, 1.28 mm (supposed to be 1.27 mm for XL belts). The total belt thicknesses were 2.62, 2.37, 2.55, 2.30 mm (supposed to be 2.30mm for XL belts). Widths were 9.71, 9.81, 9.63, 9.77 mm. The tooth spacing (5.08mm) seems correct.

Worked perfectly to for my application where I custom built an assembly with several stepper motors.My application was average and did not stress the belt.
