Super thick 10 Gauge steel! These are definately heavy duty post brackets. I have similar Simpson Heavy duty mounts like this with gray powder coat, but non adjustable . The adjustable width allows you to use posts of different grades or with anomalies- Untreated kiln dried or ground contact treated types that often have variation in the dimension " acceptable range" or moisture based variance. It makes placing the post in the bracket easier overall , no need to shave off irregularities, shim or go throught a pallet of posts to find the one. I have run into issues with brackets before with 6x6 where brackets seem to fit poorly. Lumber naturally has a range of tolerance which becomes a larger issue with brackets that are thicker like this. They don't give at and can therefore might be impossible to make contact with the post unless the measurements are exact. I can appreciate this small amount of wiggle space on this very thick very strong bracket. I really like that the fit can be customized and belive thus results in much stronger support than having gaps or Shimming does. This is a great product feature. Everything about this is top notch- imo. I feel very comfortable using this in our heavy timber build. They are every bit as strong as the gray ones I have but much easier to use actually.. these could be a great time saver !! I would order this again 100% . I am going to take this to the the county and ask if they would allow me to use this on my permitted build. I can not see any reason why not. It is something i want to know the answer to , need to actually. Ive been able to build most of my projects here without permitting by staying under square footage/ building. I will report back with the answer. If they deny it , I will still be using his on another off permit project. These are way stronger than code requires here at all so it will be interesting to get the answer.

It came well packaged and no damages. These are used for making a post for my hose reels. The quality looks and feels amazing. They’re very thick and heavy. I like how the section where it holds the post is long which helps to hold it well without being flimsy. It comes with all the screws which seems coated. I think these will hold up for a while.

Nice strong post mount brackets can be used on cement, wood or any surface that can be drilled into.They have versatile mounting options that allow the mounts to be put in 2 different directions unlike some mounts that have mounting spots on all 4 sides that may get in the way depending on your useage.

This post anchor bracket is solid and holds up well under pressure. The steel construction is thick, and it fits snugly. I used it for a loft post, and it’s keeping everything stable.

10 Gauge metal. Heavy duty 6x6 adjustable post base. No hardware is included with the plates. 6x6 post base is best mounted with concrete mollies. The base is slightly adjustable if you use the bottom plate. If you mount the two side plates directly to the concrete with mollies, this base would easily work on an 8x8 post. High-quality very heavy metal base.

Nice heavy duty support base for a 6x6 post. The three-piece design gives them some adjustability for slightly different size posts. I like that they are about a foot high. It comes with complete hardware for mounting, but I do not think the 2-inch-long bolts are strong enough for mounting in concrete. I will use 4-inch concrete expansion bolts for mounting them. The lag bolts are also too short for me. The mounting hardware even includes wrenches. I would prefer they skip supplying these marginal fasteners and wrenches so they could lower the price somewhat, as I will use my own fasteners.
