I have these vacuum ports breaking all around the house (42 years old). These are as simple as unscrewing the broken unit, attaching two wires and screwing the new one to the wall... Bada-Boom!

Mom had original 1978 METAL ones. One had broken spring and was always open. This plastic one does NOT work for hers, as the old metal one actually acted as the conductor that turns on the central vac. So unless i change ALL of them, it wont work for her.

Needed these to replace my 40 year old ones I installed when I built my house. Might not be quite as good as the originals but they are working. My old ones had more metal and were a little sturdier.
