I got it since it was the closest I could get to the size I wanted for the application I was going to use it for. 8mm is closer to 3/8 of an inch, but this is just about 1/4 of an inch. If you look at the photo you can see it is nowhere close to 8mm, it is actually 6mm(which I tested with another wrench). I was just barely holding it in the wrench when I took this photo. I did not unravel it to check the strength or length of it. I guess I will keep looking.
