I have several hoist systems in my garage and barn for hoisting kayaks, other sporting gear and a couple of ladders. I like to have a few pulley blocks on hand, and ordered these to restock my supply.These pulley blocks are quite heavy duty. They’re large and solid-feeling, and the sheaves spin freely. There’s a bit of play in the sheaves, and they don’t have the precision of a marine rope block, but they’ll work great for my general purpose use and they cost far less than a marine block of similar size. The sheaves measure about 9/16 inches wide between the shoulders and should handle ½ inch rope easily. And, being stainless steel, these should hold up well if you need to use them outside for an extended time.Overall, I think these are great general purpose pulley blocks and the price is pretty reasonable for stainless steel.
