Some pumps have threaded screw-on valves which takes an extra minute when sometimes I am in a rush and the tire is a little low on air.These adapters screw on to the straight hose valve and VOILA! Quick release in an instant.The only downside is depending on the straight hose adapter, the rim design, the angle of the valve – the “adapter on adapter” may end up having a very tight fit and gnash against the rim – if that happens there are other adapters that are sans pressure release valve and have a little extra hose extension to alleviate this problem.If over long term use, my feelings change about this product, I will update this review. I bought a air pump for my electric car as I can't really pull into a gas station and use their free air pumps. The pump was great but the problem is that it has one of those twist on connector. Whenever I disconnect it from the tire, quite a bit of air will leak out. This connector is a perfect solution and in my opinion, it should just have come with any car tire air pump.
