These bodkins were cheap, so we got what we asked for. The little ring that holds the jaws shut sticks out and makes it hard to push the bodkin through a narrow slot. I've seen others that have a smooth rounded ring that works better.

Cleaning can ruin the elastic in a dress or top. With this devise, the elastic can be replaced with new elastic easily.

The metal is thin and "slim", difficult to maneuver. With patience it works OK but I would not buy it again.
