Your cart is empty. This E.C.M. fits the following vehicles: 2007 2.2L Chevrolet Malibu.
This auctìon is for one service number 12597125 ECM (Engine control module) that is programmed for your vehicle
using the latest software updates using you V.I.N. (Vehicle identification number) to exactly match your vehicle.
After you purchase the E.C.M. you will need to provide us with your V.I.N so that
we can program the E.C.M.
There is no core charge you keep your old E.C.M.
A 30 minute security relearn procedure will need to be done before the car will start
with the replacement computer. This requires no tools except that a battery charger or jumper
cables from another vehicle should be on the car because the key will be on for 30+ minutes.
A crankshaft variation relearn will need to be performed once the vehicle is
running. This will be evident if the check engine or service engine soon light comes on once the vehicle
is running. You will need access to a scan tool capable of doing this procedure to do this and clear any related
trouble codes (Code
P0315). If this is not available to you a repair shop will have to perform this and clear the
related trouble code. The vehicle will run normal but the ”service engine soon” light will come on and a
trouble code will be stored until this is resolved.
Specific instructions for both these procedures will be sent with the computer.

Replaced the computer on a Malibu that was not responding to a code scanner and the vehicle wouldn't crank. Computer was easy to replace (located against the battery) and the seller included helpful instructions on clearing the security system. The procedure will still require a trip to the dealer or a skilled independant shop to run a calibration and clear the resulting code (can't be done with a cheap code tool), but it is a lot cheaper than having the vehicle towed to a repair shop.
