This YSMJ upright pool vacuum works well. We've tried many different uprights/handhelds throughout the years and this one stacks up as well as our other favorite brand: Wybot. The filter collects finer debris than other similar vacs. We like that you can use it with or without the telescopic pole as desired. I, personally, prefer to use it in the pool. I can either use it with the triangular shaped brush head (which is great for heavier debris sticking) or without it. When you remove the long telescopic handle and the brush head, it becomes a small handheld pool vac (similar to a DustBuster, for those of you who remember these) with a lot of power that does a great job!

This can be used in just about any hot tub, pool, cold plunge, kiddie pool, etc.It is basically an underwater stick vac. However, don't expect it to have as much suction as a normal stick vac. The goal isn't really suction - you scrub the algae or debris loose, and then a small pump will push it through the filter. You really don't need much power for that, so it's a fairly small and efficient motor. The battery lasts 80 minutes.If you see some algae buildup, simply use it to roll over the floor or side walls (you don't need to scrub hard at all), and it will suction it up. It can also pick up leaves, bugs, and other small debris.It's super easy to use - just flip on, and empty the filter basket as needed. It's also easy to assemble, there are very few pieces to snap together, and no loose accessories to keep track of. This can be used in large inground pools as well - it's so much easier than dragging around a hose.
