Let me tell you, as someone who’s spent 30 years in broadcast television IT, I’ve dealt with my fair share of HDMI cables and finicky connections. So when I first heard about this wireless HDMI solution, I was pretty skeptical. But let me tell you, I was wrong. I’ve got this Verizon Fios box hooked up to a wall-mounted TV in my family room, and I was tired of that visible HDMI cable snaking up the wall. Plus, I had this clunky splitter setup sending a signal to our patio TV through a 75-foot HDMI cable buried under the house. It worked, but it was a hassle. I just wanted to watch football seamlessly between rooms without all that cable mess.So I unboxed this transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX). I plugged the TX into my laptop (which powered it up), and connected the RX to my office TV using the included USB-C cable for power. Before I could even sit down, bam! The screens synced instantly. I tested it with sports, high-res concert videos, and YouTube streams. It was flawless. There was a barely noticeable micro-delay, but no audio sync issues. I was genuinely impressed.Next, I thought, “Let’s see if this can replace that janky splitter setup.” I plugged the RX into the patio TV’s HDMI port (which powered it), and swapped the splitter’s HDMI output for the TX. The TX lit up, but no signal. I scratched my head for a bit. Then I simplified things: bypassed the splitter entirely and connected the TX straight to the Verizon box. Still nothing. It hit me—Verizon’s box wasn’t giving enough juice to the TX to transmit. Once I added external USB power to the TX, it worked like a charm. I reconnected the splitter (with the TX now properly powered), and voilà—both TVs worked perfectly, and that ugly cable was gone. My wife was happy, the football was uninterrupted, and I felt like a hero.

I've always been bothered by cables under my desk, and I benefited greatly from the appearance of this wireless HDMI transmitter. After unboxing, I was impressed by the intact plastic seal. The setup process was very simple, and a seamless dual-screen setup was completed in minutes. No complicated configuration or drivers are required, it's plug and play. Everything works refreshingly out of the box.The screen extension function is especially useful for remote work. I can open emails on one screen and run design software on another screen with no lag at all. It greatly improves my workflow efficiency.
