I bought a Player Plus (MIM) with a Pau Fauro fretboard. I prefer Maple fingerboards, so I decided to try this one because I preferred it over the others I saw on here due to the fact it has a 14 in., which in my opinion is more ideal and fun to play. I didn't have any great expectations when purchasing this neck, but was completely floored. Of course, I had to alter ta few things in order to make it playable, which is standard for ANY NECK one puts on their guitar. But once I did that, I was stunned beyond my wildest dreams. This neck is AMAZING. The sounds have completely popped and literally blow my mind. Not only is the sound being produced out of my MIM FAR IMPROVED, But they are louder and the sustain is outta this world. I can't begin to tell you what a difference this has made in my guitar. I was going to put quarter pounder's into MIM but, now with the new neck, they sound like quarter pounders. I know this because I have another Strat MIM identical to the one I altered, except the neck on that MIM is Maple. However, the baked maple neck I put onto my Strat sounds much deeper and richer because being that it is baked, the wood is much tighter and harder. The new Baked Maple Neck impacts everything including sound which is far improved, making my altered guitar my favorite guitar to play due to the sounds that it's producing. Baked Maple is the way to go when it comes to guitar necks. The difference in the sound and playability which I believe results in the 14-inch Radius are simply divine. Don't even hesitate. If you want your MIM to sound like you just installed Quarter Pounders, then buy this neck. You won't be disappointed. I am certainly pleasantly surprised, so much so that I bought another Baked Maple Neck! The only thing I'd change about this neck is the amount of Lacquer it has on it. I think it could use another coat. So, I bought some spray on Lacquer for guitars, and I am going to just spray a bit on so that the fingerboard is a tad slicker. It plays well as is, but, I think that could possibly improve the slickness. I am going to be super careful as to how much I spray on because I don't want to diminish the sound. So, I am going to spray on one coat at a time and I probably won't exceed 2 coats. Most likely I will only put one on because I really Love the Sound and Sustain it produces as is.

This neck feels great. The frets are smooth, it looks very straight and flat, the wood is pretty and the overall finish is extremely nice. I will be buying more of these!

Beautiful wood, nice fret work, and a great choice for my custom telecaster. The nut was far too high for my liking, and took a bit of sanding to get the action low enough for me. Better for it to be too high than too low though, as you can't put material back.I would say, don't expect this (or any replacement neck) to work out of the box. Make sure you are prepared to do some adjustments. If you can do that, then this is an excellent choice.

Very nice neck. Installed on a telecaster body. The profile is a modern "C" shape. The frets are finished, but need checked for fret sprout. Other than that, good purchase.
