- Please to compact the surrounding soil of the soil tester probe
- Please pick up the soil sensor when you're going to water the plants, and insert it into the soil again (watering will loosed soils, caused gaps, and bring gas into the soil, those will affect testing)

An area of my lawn that grows nothing but moss was diagnosed by a professional landscaper as severely deficient in lime (very acidic). Immediately after a two-day rain event, I used this meter in several locations and the meter indicated low moisture and excessive lime. Neither of these readings are possible in sandy soil. Upon re-reading the instructions, it states that the meter my not work in sandy soils. Why is this not stated in the WEB site?

I wanted this meter mainly to test for soil PH level, but I didn't find the way this meter shows the PH to be very accurate, easy to read. So I returned it for a slightly more expensive digital meter.

Displays the same results for soil moisture & for pH on every soil type I test. Its needles are stuck. Serves me right for buying a product made in China.

Used one time on my front lawn soil. Inserted in my soil per directions (3”). Went to pull it out and simply pulled up on the main unit. The probe remained in the soil and the wire that ran down the probe pulled away and rendered the unit inoperable. One would assume that the manufacturer would securely fasten the probe to the main unit such that the probe would not easily separate. Nothing in the instructions suggested that I grab the probe when pulling up and out of the soil. Unit returned
