I got this webcam for my husband after surprising him with a ps5 pro for Christmas he mentioned needing a webcam for some of his games especially NBA2K where they scan your face to create a player I had no idea these games got that detailed but this webcam turned out to be exactly what he needed he was so excited to try it out and it did not disappointHe uses it for more than just games now he hooked it up to his lgtv and uses it to video chat with me instead of reaching for his phone it makes our chats feel more natural and connected the picture quality is really good everything looks clear and the colors come through nicely it picked up his face right away with no weird lag or blurringIt was super easy to set up and he clamped it right onto the tv with no problem he didn’t need to mess with a bunch of settings or wires and that made him even happier the microphone on it works great too I can hear him clearly and he says the same for me no static no cutting in and out it just works smoothly even when he is chatting with hisIt actually works better than the webcam we spent 65.00 on at Walmart for 20.00 it actually gives off great quality.I have been in the hospital for 2 months awaiting our second child so I video chat my son and husband alot. My toddler loves that he can talk to me on the big screen he says "Mama you on TV" I joke around and say yeah mama famous baby lol.. The webcam stay stable and doesn't leave marks on the tv or screen while being mounted on for long periods od time.

Clear image and nice design. Simply hangs on the monitor or laptop screen. Easy and simple to connect. Nice, low cost camera.Note: This WILL NOT work with facial recognition login so if that's your goal, look for other options.

Web cams in this price range are going to be pretty similar from my testing of several. The lighting will have a big impact on the quality of the picture that is captured. I tested this webcam in the afternoon in a fairly well-lit room and then later in the evening when a nearby desk lamp was the light source. The exposure blend on the night shot was better!The nice thing about this webcam is that its simple - no accompanying software to adjust things. But that is also what sets apart the more expensive cameras.If you need a camera for office Zoom meetings, get your lighting set up and this web cam will do fine. When I tested this on a Zoom call to my son in the other bedroom, the picture looked great on his 4K monitor. On my screen, my skin tone was overly red.I have fiddled with webcams and using a phone camera connected to the computer. If you want a studio quality picture, it takes more than slapping a web cam on you desktop or laptop computer.Now, the microphone. The tone on this one delivered mostly-low tones with not enough mids and high tones to provide a good quality sound. Either use a wireless mic connected to your computer as your sound source, or find a webcam with a better mic. From my experience, it's going to be easier to get a workable solution by using two devices, one for video and one for audio.

Needed a new camera to replace the decade old Logitech I had, however, most cameras seem to be very expensive and don't differentiate themselves in any real way. For a simple VoiP call, this is fantastic value. There's no frills, unnecessary additions or software required like most others for this purpose.Would I be happier if it was 4k and had an ultra-wide frame view? Of course, but I didn't want to pay the $300 for the 120 frames 4k ultrawide camera.It is also better than other cheaper options in this category as well. Much better than the Onn brand you could get from Walmart.It's not better than the top brands in this category of web cams, but it isn't worse. It's also much cheaper, which ultimately, does make it better than those options.

Amazing little 'no-frills' device... Despite being just a basic little unit, this little webcam did EXACTLY what I needed to do, and a little more. While the package doesn't contain any additional bonus accessories (mount, cover, etc.), it does have one added feature that is truly useful: a built-in slide cover. At the top front is a little slide that can cut off view, instantly. This is an excellent feature. While there's no physical mute button for the mic, that can be controlled with software, just as easily...When I fired it up, my Linux box (Mint, Cinnamon desktop) recognized it, instantly. This is also a boon. Not all 'generic' cameras are this way... It defaulted to maximum resolution in my webcam capture app (Cheese), and the picture was amazing. Crisp and sharp! I don't require 4K+, so this is perfect for my needs. I'll play around with network recognition, later but, if it's not there, no worries. No such claims are made, so that's not a problem. All in all, I think this will be an healthy addition to my review process, since I've been without the ability to easily record videos, for a while, now. It'll be nice to get back to video reviewing products, again.
