This is for some additional comfort on your thumb. It does exactly what it's intended for, and it works perfectly fine.

My thumb would slip sometimes after playing for an hour or so. I bought a pair of these to try out. I put them on my Tenor Sax and Soprano Sax (for some reason, I wasn't have much of that problem with my Alto Sax). They work just fine. I have better control over the instrument, especially those times when I'm playing without a neck strap.

The rubber has no opening for the screw and the cut of the other side was not deep enough to fit over the thump rest. In the video another type was shown which fits smoothly over the thump rest. I had to cut it to fit.

Seems fine so far. No complaints. Waiting to see how long it lasts & if they’ll be any residue left on the horn upon removal later.

I'd have to cut off a portion of it to fit my own sax. Selmer older vintage sax - it might work for newer saxes but anything sorta old it wont work.

What a difference these make on the thumb rest! That uncomfortable feeling of the support digging into your thumb is gone with this thumb rest rubber cover.

An inexpensive way to make it easy on your supporting thumb on the saxophone. Seems to work better on the alto than tenor. Good product

Fit very easily on my sax thumb rest. Very comfortable on the thumb. I no longer have the sharp edge of the thumb rest digging in.
