These are NOT waterproof. They don't even have a sealing gasket. They're also super brittle. Mine broke first run with it.Stay away!Just get a Traxxas brand receiver box

I Made it water tight with a flat round rubber gasket, that when I shaped it to the size is the lid. used tacky glue to hold it in place. For the side openings again used flat washers cut folded in half placed wires in between cut to fit. siliconed bottom holes. works perfectly ran though water up to door window. mudding never had a problem. I mounted two of these on my rc one for my receiver and one for my light controller.Will be buying more when my next gets here.

you have to seal these up on your own. I use hot glue. Theyre too wide and not really tall enough. It kinda smushes the wires down where they go into the receiver. if you had a receiver from 1989 these would be perfect size....except for the height issue. None the less they're inexpensive and work (with hot glue sealing).
