Because these come with the sort of cord dangle, they're basically infinitely adjustable, as compared to the ones that have rods with a minimum length. These can literally drop as little as like an inch, and that's my use case. I'm using these as regular light fixtures, not island lights, and they work just fine that way. I love the look of these because there's crystal and it looks upgraded and luxe, but the metal sort of cage gives it some architectural structure rather than leaning too far feminine.
