I am surprised at how well this was put together for the price. Assembly only took about 15 minutes. All of the fasteners came in a nice plastic case instead of the loose bags that I was expecting. It was already cable managed with mesh sleeve over all of the wires. I still need to get better with using it but I was able to get it working within a couple of hours. Feeds and speeds will definitely be the most difficult part. All of the required tools were even included.

Very satisfied with machine. Customer service is excellent. I had questions when I got machine. Customer service got back to be right away and resolved my issues. As a beginner I love this product. Easy assembly. Took a while to learn how to use my first cnc, but customer service was also very helpful with that too. I highly recommend this cnc machine.

It seems like the better offering from Genmitsu should come with the better t-slotted mounting plate but it doesn't. I'm not sure what justifies the higher price for this machine. With the mounting plate it comes with, it can be hard or impossible to find a position where the mounts can properly hold the work piece. Other than that, it works great for me and the assembly instructions are clear and easy to follow. One suggestion I have is to remove don't install the acrylic side panels. They get in the way when you need to mount your work piece to the bed.

First let me say that this product is VERY deceiving. I ordered this bundle of the 3018-PROVer v2 with the brushless motor. I watched several YouTube videos before I decided to buy. In those videos, they show it coming with a nice variety of bit. Well first let me say that the brushless motor shipped separate & from the opposite side of the USA. It was not a bundle or a kit at all. After arrival, I found that the directions do NOT match what I had purchased. The website & Amazon show different stuff other than what I received. In my opinion, they aren’t compatible. Next up is the fact they give you a bunch of soft wood bits. All are the same, so you’re forced to immediately buy more. Then once they arrive, you learn that they only gave you 1 of 15 collets! That’s more parts you have to buy. Throw on a spill board, dust shoe, and you’ve just about got $500 in a “beginner” machine… which for me doesn’t work or spin up. I never even got to try a test piece. This has left me with buyer’s remorse and I’m returning it all! All this waiting only to have disappointment after disappointment arrive to me. I can’t suggest this product or name brand to anyone! Sorry, but move on and don’t think twice! -- UPDATE: Support just emailed me and let me know that I would have to SOLDER points onto the board to make the brushless motor work! Who sells a kit that doesn't work and requires advanced modifications like that!? They do! Here you go, some soldering and modification required!

Auf der Amazon Webseite hatte sich vermutlich ein Fehler eingeschlichen. Als Sonderangebot war die Fräse mit Offline-Controller angeboten, die ich dann auch bestellt habe. Geliefert wurde die Version ohne OC. Amazon konnte keine Hilfe anbieten, obwohl es den Controller auch einzeln bei Amazon gab. Ich solle den Hersteller in China über eine Outlookadresse kontaktieren. Das tat ich dann auch.... Über Nacht wurde der Fehler auf der Webseite dann still und leise korregiert, so dass in meiner Bestell-History auf einmal der Kauf ohne Controller angezeigt wurde.Der Lieferant Tech Maker hat mir zwar bisher nicht auf meine Mail geantwortet, allerdings hat er wohl einen Ersatz-Controller geschickt, der lag ohne Kommentar heute vor der Haustür.Die Fräse selbst ist sehr solide und (für Geräte dieser Preisklasse) sehr sorgfältig und durchdacht aufgebaut. Ich werde sie zur Platinenherstellung (Isolationsfräse) nutzen und meine bisher unerfahrenen Versuche sehen schon mal sehr vielversprechend aus.

I paid 350 for this a year or two ago. It's a good little starter unit, but the spindle is super weak. If you get this, might as well order the 710 65mm router motor, because the spindles that come with it, or upgraded replacement spindles are horrible. I would have bought a better cnc if I knew i was going to enjoy the hobby as much as i do. I even upgraded all the guide rails, and z axis and it's still just okay. This thing can't even touch aluminum without some serious modification. Good unit, but much better stater cncs out there at a reasonable price.

With a lot of patients and persistence this works wonderful. I’m able to carve on wood, cast acrylic and small coins with much effort. Most of the learning curve is in the software that you have to use to get it to work and the learning curve is a bit steep for that. It’s accurate with little wobble. It’s not going to cut metal parts so .001 accuracy it will not do. Motor is under powered but if you go slow enough it works well.

Dead easy to assemble, if you can do the cheapest IKEA book case, this is easier! The upgrades are justifying the price to my opinion. I have the V1, wanted an upgrade for precision, even though I had to return it, but I would imagine someone just starting out having a good time with it. It's design is well thought out and makes a good tool for DIYers. My only complaint is that the fool proof design did not make tramming fool proof. If you care about flattening a surface, you would not want tram marks on your work.

I'm new to CNC routers and after loads of looking and researching I settled on this Genmitsu 3018 Prover V2. Easy assembly, mostly pre-assembled with only a couple of parts to install. The GRBL offline controller is handy and fun to buzz stuff around.Customer service - After only a couple of days playing and not actually having milled a project yet I crashed the bit into the wood hard and damaged some components. 1 email to SainSmart and they sent free of charge all the replacement parts I needed to get up and running again.I would buy any machine from SainSmart they are top quality, solid units and all are upgradeable in various ways to suit you own needs or wants.My advice for new operators start machining in Styrofoam before expensive woods.
