The advertised latch is fine but it does not come with a metal capture bracket that it needs to latch to it when the attic door is closed. Without it, you cannot use this item, which is very irritating to buy the item and not know that you need a major pierce. None of the pictures show this bracket and the purchase display does not show to buy this item with the capture bracket and there is no instruction either. It is simply left out - a trip to hardware store is a must.
