I thought it was gong to be over my head hard. Yes- you do need to be patient. You do need a clean work place. But if you can hang wallpaper around odd areas- you can do this! I literally could wrap my entire car. Is it perfect? NO. Why? Cuz I didn't have a fancy pattern. I had to make my own. But who cares? No one will notice. I wish it came in wider rolls than 12" but I suppose the shops who do this for a living don't want us to have any. Oh well! Get some!

The one thing that was not very good was the outer edge of the roll -- it was not cut clean and the edges are rough - that was disappointing. It is a thick vinyl and once it is on it is on. I gave it a two star due to the rough edges.

Yes I watched You Tube vids on installation. I had all the necessary tools soapy water etc. I measured I marked position lines with tape and started. 1/2 gallon of sweat later I had it in position. It will find devious ways of attaching itself to "itself" when separating it stretches a bit. I finally got in on. I ended up with a few tiny bubbles and at least five edge puckers as marks on a novice installer. IT's OK only close exam shows a c- install job. Go for but be patient and hae two people. First time? You'll screw it up.

I can’t say it’s easy to remove honestly because I haven’t.Every set of 88-98 chevy lights I buy plastic look great and yellow quickly. So I bought glass and they one busted out in the first couple of months on i20.Went back to plastic and clear coated them before I installed them and it seemed to add another year of life.So In the end. This film on glass headlights for the win!

I purchased this film to protect my car bumber, front bumper, headlights and front grill emblem for a Lexus. The installation took me about 1 hour for the rear bumper. I took a piece about 8 inches thick and covered the majority of the part of the bumper exposed to...bumps, a diagram would look like a bracket ']' from the top. I've had this for almost 1 year and so far it's holding up without damage or yellowing. I expected yellowing to be a problem because my car is white, so glad it's still clear. You can see the edges of the cover once you get up close but not from walking distance. No one has commented on seeing it yet. My bumper still looks good, that's what I care about.I recommend that you be patient when installing. Do not freak out about the bubbles. I installed this in my headlights and when I finished it had several bubbles and water spots but they went away after 2-3 days. I think this material is actually forgiving in mistakes if you are patient and let it settle. I trust 3M products. I've used tint, insulation, and other things and 3M works great, when I install it properly anyway. So that's my point, take your time and don't freak out with the minor stuff. I'm buying more of this stuff to cover my electronics and other things. It worked great on my iPad and laptop, it doesn't affect touchscreen sensitivity.Good luck fellow DIYers.

So I cheaped out and bought several standard sizes instead of the actual one cut for the carProduct is great ,application easy as I have done decals before on my 1979 trans am hood bird decals .This is only good on straight runs cannot contour to all the curves and ups and downsCheap is not always better especially with this product ,get the patterned one

This stuff is great, but is for sure time consuming to put on. It is a skill, if not an art to get it right. Also, at only 12" wide, it almost guarantees that you will have a seam, likely on the front bumper. These two reasons are why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. The hood was easy, the door sills and trunk ledge were okay, the front bumper was a pain, and the mirrors sucked. To do all of that took 2 orders of the 12"x96" material for a 2015 Mazda CX5. I honestly need to redo the mirrors. There are some good YouTube videos out there, and the Clear Defender website (seller on Amazon that I purchased from) had some good tutorials and videos. My personal recommendations are:* Plan to take your time, seriously a couple hours per surface* Use a sharp razor, not scissors, to shape to your vehicle after you've applied and tacked it down. It almost would've been worth the extra money to buy versions of this cut to my vehicle, but that cost started adding up quickly. If you have access to a 3D scanner, you may be able to define a computerized stencil that you could pre cut for your car. I didn't have one.* Get a dense rubber squeegee (amazon had it listed in frequently bought together, but I found one at the auto parts store)* Don't stretch the material too much, particularly around edges where it will be cut. The stretching can look really bad (see photos of mirrors attached). I did see a video about using a heat gun to aid in stretching before you apply to the car (that video was specific to vinyl decals, I suspect the results would be similar), but I haven't tried that technique. I will try it when I redo the mirrors.* Squeegeing is not just for air bubbles, but also for the water solution. It's easy to miss water bubbles, and then you will have to remove the adhesive and re-apply. Water bubbles are almost as noticeable as air bubbles. The final product is a great way to protect the paint job on a new ride though. I think it's worth it, but prepare top be frustrated while you are applying it.Good luck.
