I understand this is a lowest bid controller, but they seriously take lowest bid to a new level. I've used plenty of cheap controllers in the past, but this is easily the worst. All the buttons are way too stiff and feel gross to press. The d-pad is too easy to hit diagonals on accident. The expansion pack port is fake.The only reason it's not 1 star is because it actually connects to a computer.

This controller does not correctly implement the driver that DrangonRise Inc uses correctly. When sending the USB data to any device bytes 0-1 are for d-pad left and right 7F (signed 0) for not pushed 00 for left pushed and FF for right pushed. The left-right axis on the analog stick also effects these bites in a similar way. Then a similar story for bytes 2-3 for the d-pad but this time up is for 00 down is FF and nothing is 7F. The up-down axis on the analog stick also effects these bites in a similar way. Then the left-right axis on the analog stick effects bytes 4-5 in an expected analog way it stays at around 7F with slight fluctuations and goes to 00 when pressed left and goes to FF when pressed right with a gradual change from 7F. The real issue comes in that the 6-7 bytes in the USB data is unused. If the up-down axis of the controller was changing this value then I could take some time and manually map the controls and get correct output, but since the device does not change those bytes I can not map the controls since the information is not being sent. Also, as far as I know, there is no way to rewrite the driver on the raspberry pi that I am trying to use the device on to get this data since the data is not sent. This seems like a program error on the microcontroller that is controlling the controller but without a way to see that program or a way to reprogram the microcontroller this cannot be fixed. Worst yet I can not return the product because I took too long to mess around with these controllers so now I have four controllers that will not work for my purposes to play the N64 games I want to on the Raspberry Pi.

Analogue stick didn't allow full 360 motion on my pc. Tried to recalibrate but no joy. Some of the buttons buttons kept sticking. Not a quality product. Wouldn't recommend buying one. Both thumbs down! :(

La calidad es bastante aceptable, es totalmente compatible con los emuladores y no necesitas configurar absolutamente nada, solo como detalle es que la palanca principal se sale con facilidad ya que solo está sobrepuesta, pero nada que una gota de pegamento instantáneo no pueda solucionar.

Wasn't a USB, it was the normal one. Tries to return but of course shipping was more expensive than the device. Don't bother with it

It works perfectly with the Project64 emulator. I was expecting to have to get drivers and such but it was just plug and play. I docked 2 stars because there is something rattling inside quite loudly which is fairly annoying. So either it wasn't handled or manufactured correctly pre-purchased. But other than that it works just fine. The analog stick is comfortable, buttons have good response and overall very good. I didn't even have to change sensitivity. So yes if you want to buy it I highly recommend you do. My case, I hope, is a rare one.

I was considering this one or another usb N64 controller. I read reviews for both but didnt really see to many for this one so I took the chance because of others saying it works. It does work just plug in recognized and installed as generic usb game pad on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Configured in Project 64 no problems. I never played on the N64 so I cant comment on weight or anything about the OEM controller but this seems to work just fine for me.Cons:At first the controller Joystick had some clicking and would get stuck mainly when it went to the right but after just using it, the clicking has now gone away and it works like a champ.

I purchased this controller with the aims of using it for a N64 emulator on my computer. I'm sad to say, I am pretty disappointed with what I received. For starters, the D-pad on the controller cannot be used as a D-pad. I tried using it with the various emulators I have only to get no response. I checked out the controller properties only to find that the D-pad only controls POV. I also didn't like the joystick. The original N64 controller is more precise, while this one is not, which makes this useless for games that require precise movements like Mario Kart 64 Goldeneye ect. All in all, I would not recommend this controller. You would be better off finding an original N64 controller and simply buy a USB adapter for it.

I've been craving that original N64 feel for my emulators, and this does it! The control stick is nice and tight and everything works great. If it could support the rumble pack, it would blow my mind, but I'm trying not to be greedy :)I didn't end up installing the disk it came with; I just let my laptop install it as a regular USB devise and then used the controller settings in the emulator to make it just right.

Works very well on Windows 7.I never liked the design of the N64 controller, so I usually use an XBox 360 controller when playing games on my PC. My wife refuses to use anything but the N64 controller. This is responsive, even over a 10' USB extension cable with a hub on the end and another controller plugged in. The build quality feels just like (if not a little better than) the original Nintendo controllers, though my memory could be tainted. The case even looks like it would accommodate a rumble pack though the electronics for it are missing. I suspect this is made from OEM parts or molded from OEM.Very happy with the purchase so far.
