Bought a pack of these to convert an old BBQ grill frame made of 1” ID thin-wall square tubing into a rolling saw stand. For the most part, they worked great!I did have a slight problem getting a couple of them to remain in the tubes once I had the casters installed: I wish they were either a little taller to reach further inside the tube to resist torsion forces or that the spring steel “petals” were a hair longer so they dug into the sides of the tube more to hold them in place. I wound up slightly crimping the tubing to get them totally secure, but the fit and sizing were right for 1” ID tubes with 3/8” coarse thread caster posts, and now my saw can be easily moved around the garage.I’m happy with the inserts and the price was VERY reasonable compared to other sellers charging 3-4x as much while also being unclear on measurements.
