There were no instructions included but that was not really a problem because the installation was intuitive and the straps were super easy to install. I attached the adhesive pads to the back of my TV (which has a slight texture to it) and the back of the wooden cabinet my TV sits on (which is unfinished). The adhesive bond is very firm and strong despite the textures of the surfaces it was applied to. After you remove the small metal screw caps and attached the strap, you’ll want to replace the caps with the larger easy-turning black screw caps (see attached pic, I didn’t realize this until I had already reattached one of the tiny metal screw caps!). After tightening the straps my TV feels very secure. This is the kind of thing you never really need – until you do. Note that this set comes with enough for two TVs, since I only have one TV, I'm giving the set for a second TV to my daughter. I am very satisfied with this product and happy to have the protection for that unplanned situation.

For the moment the both ends are sticking well to the TV and glass table top. It's quite easy to install it and adjust. However, I wonder if the glue will last long enough. Another concern is that, later if I need to move the TV to somewhere else, the sticky pads will be removed and the entire set won't be useful.

I'm not using this for its intended purpose, but it's working great! I actually am using these straps to tie off some furniture on our dock. The sticky tabs seem to be working perfectly on the underneath of two little tables we have that don't have a place to tie to. I'm using the other straps to hold a chair and ottoman. They aren't really meant for outside use, but I feel that they will keep our furniture out of the lake for a good long while. Combined with some fishbone deck anchors these give a lot of options for securing furniture.

This is a pretty simple concept for an anchor for a device. The nylon straps are identical on both ends and they attach to a sticky pad what has a screw on it. Just fasten the nylon straps to the screws with some included nuts and stick the pads on the device and the fixed surface. Tighten the strap to remove the slack and technically, you're done. This is fine for small TVs/monitors and other smaller devices, but probably not secure enough for large screen TVs. I have other anchors that fasten onto the TV's wall-mount holes. These are much more secure, as there's no way for nylon straps to come off the TV. I should point out that the sticky pads, are in fact, very sticky and can probably stand quite a bit of force before peeling off.Strong word of advice: don't stick this to painted surfaces or veneers, as it can peel off more easily than you think and provides no real safety if the device topples over.

As others have stated, the anchors are held with sticky tabs. The straps themselves, and the attachments, seem to be well made. For small TVs or shelves this will be fine. I'm not comfortable with the long term effectiveness of the sticky tabs holding anything over a couple of pounds.

These are a great option for safety or baby proofing if you don't want to screw into your furniture and walls (especially if you're renting). We have 3 kids, and although they aren't yanking on TVs or climbing furniture like they used to, accidents can still happen. I didn't want to screw into our new TV stand or deal with drywall anchors that usually loosen over time anyway, so the adhesives were worth a try (especially for under $10). The directions are easy to follow and the adhesive seems sturdy, as do the straps. It's easy to tighten them to the correct length and they hold well. I do wish it had a weight rating on them the way picture hanging adhesive hooks do - in my experience, I usually double up based on the weight rating just to be safe. Especially because these are made for larger/heavier items, it would be nice to have some kind of guidance on the weight restriction without having to find out the hard way. Because I don't have babies I'm worried about, I used 2 for our 48" TV, but if I had a larger piece, or kids I'm worried about actually pulling it on themselves with their body weight, I would probably use more than just 2.

These safety straps are as described and shown in the listing, cannot ask for more. I got them to secure a heavy free-standing wire shelving to a wall, so as to prevent it from tilting and falling, and they will do just fine for my purpose. If these safety straps are installed as shown in the listing, the weakest part (what I expect to give up first with increasing force/load) of the whole system will probably be the sticker-bases, which can be replaced by screwing the D-rings to wall/furniture/back-of-TV (I used screws to my wall studs), next will probably be the metal bases of the D-rings, and finally the nylon straps.

This kit comes with four straps and the means to put adhesive pads on both ends. I have used similar adhesive pads to hang pictures on a wall when they come with hooks attached, rather than screw threads. Two hooks under the string behind the picture frame. I found that the adhesive held for a number of months but eventually one pad tore off the wall, and fortunately I was able to take down the picture before the additional stress caused the other end to tear off as well. The rest of this attachment system looks very reliable and is quite convenient. If you want the most safety, I would use three or four straps on the TV shown in the advertisement, ensuring that if the adhesive on one of the straps were to fail, there would be enough remaining straps to hold your item until you could deal with the matter. As a form of temporary attachment, this kit is very good, about as good as possible without drilling into your TV or your table, and it might last for years -- my recommendation is just for extra confidence.
