This one is probably one of the easiest radios I have installed. A few torque screws takes the face out along with the back end units. Take the wiring, harnesses and connect to the back of the touchscreen. Then you’ll connect them into your OEM connectors. I did not run the wiring for the back up camera. That’s probably the most tedious part as you gotta take quite a few trim pieces off to get a wire all the way back. Touchscreen is responsive. Clarity is very nice.

This stereo for Ford Focus (2012-2018) offers a major infotainment boost with its 10.4 inch HD T-style touchscreen, giving your dashboard a modern, high-tech look. One of its biggest pros is the smooth performance, thanks to Android 13, 4GB RAM, and 32GB storage, allowing for fast app usage and multitasking. Features like wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, 5G wifi, and GPS navigation add convenience and connectivity, while the 1080P backup camera enhances safety. Another advantage is Bluetooth hands-free calling and steering wheel control (SWC) compatibility, making it user-friendly once installed. However, a common con mentioned is the somewhat tricky installation; while it's marketed as plug-and-play, some users find that extra wiring or professional help is needed to get all features working seamlessly. Overall, this head unit provides excellent value for Focus owners seeking a feature-packed upgrade. The pros include its large, responsive screen, wireless phone integration, and comprehensive functions like FM radio, Mirror Link, and decent sound quality. On the downside, the interface customization is somewhat limited, and the software may take a bit of time to get used to. Despite these minor cons, it’s a worthwhile investment if you’re aiming for a modern infotainment system that brings a premium feel to your vehicle.

Unlike most other units at this price point, this one trades storage room for 4gb of ram. this is a meaningful upgrade over other 2gb units that are often slow and struggle with their own preinstalled apps. while not impressively fast, using this unit is smooth and intuitive, with no problems so far. installation is a bit of a chore. my unit seemed to be missing instructions but I reached out the the company with the provided contact information and they replied quicky with video instructions from youtube. this is designed to fit all third gen focuses so you may have unused cables left over like I did or you may not. ford has a lot of different versions of its infotainment system. ultimately, I was able to install the unit successfully with all the provided adapters. the screen itself is reasonably bright but doesn't bother me at night. in direct sun it gets washed out but I prefer that to being distracted at night. there are brightness settings but they're buried in menus and can't be quickly changed on the road. the unit also uses android 13 when most competing products are still on 12. this is a big plus for the aesthetics but a bigger plus for performance and a good part of why the experience is so smooth. audio is fine, although this unit has less power than the upgraded sound system on my car. I never turned either up all the way so I don't have a problem with this but if you're looking for a powerful audio system you're going to want to send a lot more money. overall, despite several annoyances an disappointments, I feel like this product is very worth using. it represents exceptional value for money compared to its competitors and I happily recommend it.
