Pool hose clamps, will not rust

I bought these to have spares for brew hoses. I tried a couple of these and you can't even squeeze them together. You need plyers. Even then they barely fit. They are not tapered enough like the Anvil clamps. They are blunt-nosed and don't fit together well at all.

Solid clamps, but there just seem to be holes between sizes and it was hard to find one the perfect size for the hose I needed to clamp.

For providing as many clamps as they do, they should have put some that are large enough for a one inch hose. None of them will fit a one inch hose.

The piece that slides into the grooved portion is rounded on the end which makes it nearly impossible for the clamps to work.
