This is a good duct transition. It is a good fit to a 4 inch duct and 10 inch register. The flange on either side makes it easy to install to existing walling and for connection to a vent. The material is average thickness and durability. It works well in my application going from a wall register to an intake box. Do be cautious as some of the edges are sharp as a knife.

If this is a thing you need, then it's is certainly the one you should get. I have an unusual ventilation system in my bedroom because I sleep in a tent, and I like to pump in air from the air conditioner, which is a freestanding portable unit. The air conditioner doesn't have a great way to capture the cold air coming out and put it into a 4-in duct. I bought another piece that actually worked very well for this purpose, but when I saw this I knew there was a place for it. It's really well built made out of several pieces of sheet metal that are very sturdy. I could stand on it without deforming the shape, which is not something I can say for the piece that it replaced.
