The modular design of this bracket is a nice idea for usage with 4x4 and 4x6 posts; plenty sturdy of a design for mounting a mailbox as suggested, or doing some creative building projects like a custom cat tree. I also enjoy the fact that this bracket included hardware for affixing, which always speeds up a project.

I actually couldn't use this when I wanted to. I got impatient and used a different anchor that would fit my still wet brand new post I got from the hardware store.These are rock solid, thick, heavy duty. I couldn't fit my post inside as it was still wet and hadn't shrunk down yet. Another one I have I was able to muscle it inside; but not these. I consider that a good thing for these it's also a great design where it's two pieces so you can easily use this for a 4x4 or 4x6 post.

I got these to with some other post bases to install posts on my back porch to which I could then attach wire fencing to make an enclosure so my dogs could sit on the porch and bark at things. These fit the bill. Since I don't really construct things but take the easiest route to get things done, they are just what I needed.

I was honestly skeptical, but these brackets are solid! They fit well on the boards and were easy to use. They hold very well and are great value for the money. No complaints here!

These brackets for 4x4 posts are well made. The steel is slightly thicker than 1/8-inch. That is thicker than other 4 x 4 post brackets I have, so this is why I give these brackets 5 stars rather than my normal 4 stars for products I like and have no complaints with. The paint is well done and thick. The space between the shoulders is 3.5 inches which is the typical size of a 4 x 4 post. Nothing to criticize here.

Nice heavy duty brackets for 4x4 posts. easy to install. Screws are low quality and the heads broke off to easy when screwing in. some screw heads broke off after installation. I used different screws and everything is holding up well.skip using the included screws as they are poor quality.

We decided to add some posts to an area of concrete. These post bases are an easy way to accomplish that.They come with 4 base brackets, 2 for each post, and wood screws for mounting. They did not include concrete screws and I did not expect them to. The quality is top notch for the brackets as well as the screws. These brackets sort of sandwich the post between them. We are using 4x4 posts but any post with one side of 4" (3.5") will fit, so if you are doing a 4x6 post these will work for you.I was ready for installation when they arrived this afternoon and they are already mounted and were perfect for our needs. Very pleased with them.
