These worked great to strip to rust and paint off of an older weber grill from the 80's. The grill had significant rust and chipped paint. These stripping wheels easily removed both the rust and paint. The discs worked as expected with nothing odd. I went through a single disc and part of the second.

I was aware that this product existed but had never tried it. One of the things I've learned that with TIG welding the surface really has to be clean. These discs do an excellent job of removing paint and getting down to the bare metal surface before welding. Also use these discs to remove 5-year-old self sticking adhesive gum on the backside of my belt drum sander. Although it didn't remove all the adhesive, it did warm it up enough and make it soft that I could clean the surface with lacquer thinner. I have nothing but great things to say about these discs and I would highly recommend them in your shop too.

These work great for cleaning up metal prior to any repair, welding or coating. Quickly strips surface rust down to bare metal. Seems like they will last for a long time for anything I'll use them for.
