I purchased this rack to organize the 7.0 mL vials of ink samples that I purchase from gouletpens.com. They have a rack to hold samples as well, but I like this one better because of the following reasons: (1.) it holds 50 vials instead of 40, (2.) the bottom is solid without rounded indents for round bottom tubes like test tubes, (3.) the top is opaque white, not clear, and I can write row and column designations on it with a permanent marker. (4.) It's about $6.00 cheaper. I don't mean to detract from Gouletpens.com as they are a great place to shop, and they get a lot of my business, but in this case I found something that works a bit better, in my humble opinion. I made an ink sample chart to be able to find a sample easily.

I purchased this item along with Karter Scientific 207B2 plastic test tubes (16mm), planning to use it for displaying/organizing seed beads. But Karter's test tubes do not fit in the slots. I had to give up and use it for storing something else (marker pens).

On the advice of another artist I bought this as a stand for my Prismacolor double tip professional markers. I love having them displayed on my table and will be buying several more. They fit perfectly. Only 150 more matters to go.
