I wouldn't use this for poker, as these chips don't stack well. Worked well as mahjong chips though. The box was well made and sturdy.

A great accompaniment to your math curriculum for your toddlers. The individual coins are lightweight and can be packed easily for on the go use. The product includes a wonderful storage case so you don't need to stuff these in bags! The built quality is a strong plastic material and each piece fits neatly into the clear storage case. I love the price on these for improving counting skills in young ones.

I had a set of heavy clay poker chips - kind of like the ones they use in the casino. I'm not a gambler by any means, but when my sons wanted to play some card games, I got this to use now that I can't find my deluxe set of poker chips. Does it work? Yes. But these are really light, slick pieces of colored plastic. They hold no weight to them at all. They aren't serrated like the old-time plastic poker chips that help you to stack them in a column - the edges are raised, so they don't "lock" into place like the ones with serrated tops and bottoms. They aren't heavy like the clay poker chips, so they easily scatter all over the floor when dropped. I like that they come in a clear plastic container, but the least they could have done is put some sort of denomination on them with a sticker or label. If I were really motivated, I could create some stickers on my printer, cut them to size, and label these chips on my own, but that seems like a lot of work for a cheap set of poker chips. I'll keep my eye out for a better set.

These are not the fancy clay chips you get from a casino, in either appearance or weight. That being said they do work for a game of poker. I think they are really fun to use to create games with your kids where you can use these as game pieces (add your own pictures to them etc) or in place of money. Like you get a token for each chore and maybe they could cash them in for video game time at the end of the week or maybe even for sweats. They would be a great way to learn the basics of money and finances. They are the fun colors that kids prefer. They are durable little plastic (smooth) chips just as advertised.

The chips themselves feel fit for use and fit for purpose, as the plastic and coloring is fine... the only downside is that these are hard to stack due to the rounded lips instead of a burled flat edge. I'm still pleased with this purchase and would buy them again. (I use them to play colored dice games scoring with my daughter, and they work well for this purpose.)

I got these poker chips for crafting purposes rather than for use in playing poker.These suited my needs well; I needed something that could serve as a base to help keep pine cones standing if the bottom wasn’t flat enough for it to stand on its own. The activity involved cutting shapes out of paper or felt to transform the pinecone into different woodland creatures. The chips were just the right size for us to put some hot glue on the pine cone and then attach the poker chip, adding stability without pulling focus from the kids’ creations.Every chip had a small amount of flashing on four sides from where they were separated from each other, but it was not distracting visually and it was not excessive on any of them. They are a little thin for poker chips but I could see them being useful for a round while camping or in other similar situations where it might not be practical to have a full set-up. The thinness was really part of the appeal for me since again, I needed something non-distracting. I will also note that while they are a little thin, they are made of hard plastic and are not flexible, so there shouldn’t be any issues on that front. This was an asset in my case as well since they formed a stable base.I imagine they could be useful for all kinds of games since there are no markings on them. As long as you and other players can agree on assigning specific values by each color they should work fine. They are pretty minimal and won’t make you feel like you’re in Casino Royale by any means, but they’ll do in a pinch.
