3.Conform that the power and high voltage is already released before you replace
4.Start capacitor can not start or stop and re-start too frequently, or it will be over-heat and damaged, advise to wait more than 30 seconds to restart
5.Kindly it is one start capacitor, not run capaictor, start capacitor only use once when motor start, yet run capacitor is running all the time after starting

I liked everything. Looks like good quality just like the original..Most important it works good ! Not sure how long it will last.. we will see.This saved me from buying a new Garage opener or an 88 dollar replacement Controller board for my old Overhead Legacy Garage opener which I had already ordered but canceled right away.This was very cheap repair compared to a replacement Controller board or new garage opener.try easy to replace took just about 15 min... and no reprogramming..

Did work right away out of the box and install just fine. Bought this in November 2022 and it died already February 2023 that's the only 4 months. Going to try the ones made in Mexico instead.

Replaced a Genie opener X-18004-B 50MF capacitor. Slightly smaller in length and diameter, but is functionally equivalent. Work of caution: if your opener stops working after several repeated cycles, wait the suggested 15-20 minutes for it to cool. I only waited a few minutes resulting in extreme overheating of the capacitor with failure (loud pop, lots of smoke, and oily spray from capacitor).Longevity is yet to be determined, but opener is now fully functional.

Update with photos: the supplier should update their compatibility statement with this capacitor. It does not work with capacitors 18004b, their unit is too small in size which I believe is what caused the overheating and potentially blown capacitor.Easy to install and worked for 3 to 4 cycles with my genie garage opener. And then the capacitor overheated and stopped working. Once it cooled down, the garage opener would begin to operate as usual until the capacitor overheats again. If I continue to use this capacitor that it supposed to be rated very high and lasts up to 10 years, it will surly blow. The rating should state that it last for 10 seconds. I don’t recommend this brand. Look elsewhere.

1 screw and 4 wires reconnected later my garage door is back operational .
