The main reason I ordered this Cordless Weed Wacker was because it's cordless. I live on 3 acres and while I can mow the whole 3 acres, trimming around the fence and other obstacles far from my house was not possible unless I had a very long electric cord. That's not a problem anymore. I could have bought a gasoline Weed Wacker but I'm trying to go cordless with my yard tools. When the Cordless Weed wacker arrived the first thing I did was to charge the battery. The battery showed that it was about 75% charged out of the box but I let it charge to 100%. While the battery was charging I put the Weed Wacker together. Assembling the Weed Wacker was easy because the Installation Manual was very detailed with colorful photos and large type. Unusual these days. The Cordless Weed Wacker comes with 3 different types of blades and includes a wrench & nut driver to put everything together. The blades included are 1 circular saw blade for cutting limbs, 2 steel blades for shrubs and several nylon blades for edging/trimming. I trimmed weeds that started growing since spring started several weeks ago around the house and along my long driveway. So far this Cordless Weed Wacker has done a great job. It's great having a weed wacker that does not rely on an electric cord or require gasoline to work. After cutting weeds for the day all I had to do is remove the battery from the Weed Wacker and put it back on charge. I'm glad I ordered this Cordless Weed Wacker and highly recommend it.

2.75 StarsThis is really disappointing. It comes with plastic blades and a metal blade. The plastic breaks easily. The metal doesn't work well and is very dangerous. It's difficult to use and takes forever to chop down weeds etc.Would have been a lot better if it came with the string that we normally use to weed eat.Trying to edge around our driveway and sidewalk and the house was virtually impossible due to the way this thing is made.

If you're looking for a trimmer that will cut around trees and along fences, look elsewhere. This tool is all but useless for that purpose. The unit comes with a dozen nylon blades, but I broke two of them in the first 5 minutes. If you so much as touch the blade against anything hard, like a tree or a fence, the blade snaps right off. I switched to the included metal edging blades, but found these blades are considerably shorter than the nylon ones. This prevents you from trimming much of anything. I then attempted to use the metal blade to edge the sidewalk. Unfortunately, in edger mode, the unit must be held nearly vertically in order for the blade to reach the ground. Very awkward. Finally, I switched to the included saw blade. This attachment is slightly terrifying. The blade is as you would find on a small table saw, and it has very sharp carbide tips. I was very careful to disconnect the battery prior to installing it, as this thing would surely remove a finger or worse if you were careless. The blade actually worked pretty well for sawing small saplings. It is, however, only practical for light to medium sawing. I would be very careful with this setup, and by all means keep this thing out of the reach of a child! It's unfortunate that they didn't include a string trimmer head with this unit, as I think it would be much better suited for that purpose.
