An HVAC company kept telling me I need these as they can increase your AC's compressor's life, but what they wanted to charge was outrageous, so I bought this and another one (different size for different unit) and installed them myself. Works great! I also had an HVAC company double check my work as a DIY'er and they said it's the same brand they use. I do wish they had a better installation video though, and I wish they sold it as a set WITH a new capacitor.

After watching a few YouTube videos, I figured out how to install this on my own. I was an electrician back in the day, but I never worked on HVAC, not my gig. However, this was easy after seeing how it's done. Not to mention, the HVAC company I have an annual contract with wanted to charge me $500+ to install one of these. It literally took me less than half an hour to install it and get it working. It's likely the same brand and model as what my HVAC company would use and charge exorbitant amounts for. Well worth the time and effort to do it myself. Great device, highly recommended.

Check voltage, make sure that you get the right part. I have a 4-ton system but the one that specified 4 to 5 ton was too big this is the 3.5-4-5-ton witch is the correct one.
