*Please note I have no experience using these as replacements, only new installs. I cannot speak to how well it installs in place of an old bridge*I have installed 4 of these into guitar projects that I have built up specifying from scratch the parts used: each build became a brand new instrument. The fact that I have used that many on my project builds says that I must like them at least a little bit. However here's my complete rundown of the issues encountered. Hopefully this will help You make a good buying decision:Issue #1 - The zinc block... It is too soft of metal and the strings will burrow into channels making them tough to remove after they have been in for a few weeks. A few other reviewers have touched on this issue as well. The work around is the brass block that MusicLily offers as a direct replacement. This block also effectively doubles the price of the bridge! However after a few times of wrestling to remove stuck strings, I have made up my mind that all of the blocks on the guitars I built need to be replaced.Issue #2 - Saddle adjustment screw length in the #1 and #6 (both E strings, high and low) are too short. I cannot get enough upward adjustment out of them, particularly the high E. I have had to begin to replace those with M3 x 10mm screws (they were 8mm). This may not be a big deal for everyone, but the fit and finish on my builds wasn't correct (perfect) without this change. All in all, I believe these are reasonably well made and good performing, especially after the 2 issues above are addressed.Included are 3 pics of the guitars I built with these in various stages of install... for proof I guess?!? (The 4th guitar has been purchased).

One reviewer said it doesn’t fir Squier Bullet Strats, but fits my Squier Bullet Strat perfectly. Mine is a cheap one from China, so maybe ones manufactured in other countries may have issues? Mine is a thin body so the Official Fender one I installed was too long so I couldn’t put the back cover on. Also the Fender one has QC issues where the screw hole where you put the tremolo bar in is crooked and you are not able to screw it in. I tried to force screw my bar in and it snapped lol so I returned the Fender one, and yes the bar was standard size I bought a new bar for it and it was supposed to fit.So having this tremolo bridge was a huge sigh of relief when almost everything fit so perfectly. All screw holes lined up perfect and everything. Only issue was the claw part was a tight fit. For some reason it went more to the left where it was hitting the body, but it fit anyway. I replaced that with the newer screws and springs because they were all better quality than stock. The 6 screws on the front were longer than my stock screws so I just reused my stock screws for that. Pop in bar is amazing, don’t have to worry about screwing my bar in again and breaking it again lol. Quality was on par with Fender I was really surprised. Even better than Fender because they didn’t screw up the tremolo bar hole. Block is heavy, haven’t tested it out yet because I am rewiring the whole guitar and will try after that. Love this for my project of changing everything on this guitar.

The old tremelo had a small block and 5 springs to manage it. It was also cheaper material and bent at the plate. The Wilkinson had a great block and floated perfectly. The saddles were almost in proper position as well as 9.5" radius. I barely had to adjust it for the intonation and just one or two saddles needed raised. The push in and pul out bar is definitely an upgrade

Found a Starcaster strat in a thrift store that I wanted to mod and used this trem. It's great, fit perfectly with no mods to cavity, mounting holes, etc. I did use my existing springs and claw, they were fine so no need to change out. I can definitely hear a difference in sustain and the bent steel saddles add a chime that is lost on block saddles and it's not just me - my guitar player buddy thinks so too. I do think that the Starcaster strat would probably accommodate a 40mm trem block with no issues, but for my needs the 36mm that comes with this trem is fine.

This is a very good replacement Bridge with full size block for thinner body ST style guitars. It was drop in as both the 6 screw holes and saddle string spacing were both 2 1/16. One has to be careful because on a lot of replacement bridges, the saddle string spacing is 2 1/16 but the bridge screw holes are not. This one has both. The push in Trem bar is a nice touch and overall a great bridge at a great price.

The tremolo arm itself feels VERY weak....I actually cut mine down like David Gilmour has been known for, and it still feels weak....But the bridge in itself, is a nice and inexpensive upgrade for any import strat with a 2 and1/16th inch string spacing.

I bought this vibrato for a brand new Glarry that I am turning into a "real" guitar. While it's true that I had to remove some wood to make room for the new vibrato's full-size sustain block, that was all I had to do to install this unit. This is the easiest I've had it for installing a six-screw, vintage-style vibrato. I have yet to finish modding the guitar, so I haven't played it with the new vibe yet, but it appears to have really first-rate construction and materials. Based on what I know so far, I would recommend this unit to modders who know what they're doing; they'll appreciate the ease of installation better than anyone else.Update: I figured out how to check the parts for materials: Magnetism. Everything above the block is attracted to a magnet, therefore steel. The block, however, does not attract a magnet; it is zinc. The unit is a good upgrade from a cheap vibe with a trimmed-down block, but will not perform like a full-size steel block. It is claimed that the block is easily replaceable. Just be aware that it's not steel, so might need replacing.
