Michael Kelly is a brand owned my Sam Ash. I love their guitars. I have two of these and they are my favorite guitars. Great quality at a nice price point. These models are made in Viet Nam. My hat is off to them for making a nice guitar. Be aware that all new guitars should get a good setup no matter what. You may get one that needs to have some or all of the fret edges rounded and polished. I had that done on one, the other didn't need it. I did replace the tuners on both my guitars because I like to have good locking tuners on all my guitars. I have both the spalted maple and the black versions of this 59 Thinline model. I think I will leave the Rockville P90s in both guitars, as they seem okay to me.

I’ve played guitar for 50 years and have worked at several musical instrument companies. I love Telecasters. I had to adjust the action a little but that’s personal preference. No buzzing frets. Pickups sound good. The description says the scale length is 24.75”. It’s actually 25.5”. Not a big deal to me. I prefer the longer scale length.
